The politics of Prunylandia operate within the framework of a prismatic monarchy, a federal system combining a hereditary head of state with autonomous regional governance. The hereditary monarch, known as the Captain of the Federal Lands, serves as the head of state, while the Key Keeper, formally titled the Keeper of the Administrative Key, is appointed as the head of government.

Executive authority is shared between the Administrative Council and the Moderative Committee. The Administrative Council oversees national administration through sector-specific leadership, with its members appointed and dismissed by the Key Keeper. The Moderative Committee votes on national ordinances, military interventions, and budgetary matters. Together, these two bodies act as the nation’s highest judicial authority, ensuring alignment with constitutional principles.

Prunylandia is a federal state consisting of 14 realms, each with its own elected legislature. The heads of most realms are appointed by the Captain, except for Azerlockia, which elects a Chancellor, and Britial, which elects a Governor-General. These realms retain significant autonomy while remaining unified under the prismatic monarchy framework.

The Representative of the Prunylanders, elected through universal direct suffrage, serves as a vital intermediary between the populace and the national executive. While the role carries no formal executive authority, it ensures public concerns are communicated to the government.

Unlike most federal systems, Prunylandia does not have a national legislature in the traditional sense. Instead, legislative functions are divided between the Moderative Committee, which handles national ordinances and budgeting, and the legislatures of the individual realms, which exercise substantial self-governance. This arrangement allows the central government to address national priorities while respecting regional autonomy.

Prunylandia's governance model balances centralized coordination with significant local autonomy, reflecting its diverse cultural and political makeup. The nation's political structure is further guided by the Charter of Principles, drafted shortly after the acts of Federation. Additionally, the RCID (Royal Council for Intelligence and Defense) plays a pivotal role in national affairs, particularly in foreign policy and intelligence operations.
